Laundry/Back Door Makeover - converting the original laundry room into a home office
As part of our home renovation, we planned to relocate the laundry and turn the original laundry room into a home office.
In order to allow more natural light into the room, we replaced the original solid door for a Hume glass door. We sanded, primed, painted and then attached new door hinges and hardware. The DIY project was a great way to transform the room from the old, dark laundry room that it was.
Details of what we used:
Door: Hume Entrance Door Clear Glass from Bunnings
Paint: Dulux Exterior Weathershield Semi Gloss Vivid White from Bunnings
Door Handle: Lemaar Satin Chrome Metz Entrance Set from Bunnings
Deadbolt: Lane Satin Stainless Steel Single Cylinder Deadbolt from Bunnings
Door Seal: Raven Anodised Automatic Weather Door Seal from Bunnings
Finished room conversion - new back door access to backyard garden
Before: Original laundry room
Used as a storeroom during house renovations
New glass door installed
Wow, what a lovely office space @homeinmelbourne! That Hume door really made a world of difference. Those shutters and wainscotting are also nice touches. I bet it's a pleasant location to work within.
Where did you end up shifting the laundry?
Many thanks for sharing.

Hi @MitchellMc , thank you very much! The Hume door is great. It lets in so much light and was so affordable.
We converted a linen/storage cupboard in the hallway into a 'euro laundry' cupboard: Cupboard converted into Euro Laundry.
