I wanted to add a splash of colour, extra storage and modernise my laundry/sewing room without spending too much. We removed the old laundry tub and tiles and added an overhead cupboard. We bought 2 white cupboards and instead of putting on the tops we put them together and bought a benchtop from Bunnings and attached it to cover the top of the 2 cupboards. We then cut a hole for the sink and retiled with antique green subway tiles and painted the walls.
