We are making slow progress refreshing our little Victorian cottage with a toddler (and mainly only in any spare time we have on weekends) BUT we have made a start and finished our hallway!
There are some details we wanted to retain including the pendant light, the tiled floor and the timber door. Everything else just needed a decent sand and a fresh coast of paint or two. Here is the hallway before (from the for sale listing - not our furniture!) and after.

We used British Paints Grey Spirit on the walls and British Paints Vivid White semi gloss water based enamel on the wood.
Next project: turning an old laundry into a bedroom!
