Hello @Anji

Thank you very much for sharing your bathroom update. Gone are the printed tiles that made the bathroom look so dark, the new paint has made it look bright and refreshing. All those little improvements have definitely transformed the look of your bathroom and given it a modern appeal. The new timber vanity benchtop has become the new focus of the bathroom. A truly impressive budget bathroom makeover.

How long did the entire renovation take you to finish? Were there any challenges that you ran into while renovating the bathroom?

Thanks Eric we had other things on the go at the same time but the painting was done over a 7 day period. Painted tiles in the shower recess will need Re coating after 6 months of continual use but now that our second bathroom is built with new tiles this one will only have occasional use and will stay looking good for years.

Thanks for that extra information about your bathroom update. If this bathroom will only be occasionally used the paint renovation you applied should last much longer.

Hi Anji, love the look of your timber vanity but I was just wondering if it needs constant re-varnishing being in a bathroom?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Varnished benchtops in bathrooms usually require a light recoat every 3-4 years, which in the grand scheme of things isn't too bad.
