Budget coastal home office makeover

My husband and I run our own small businesses from home and we have been in desperate need of an office space that we can work in together. We went with a coastal, beachy theme and are so happy with how it turned out 🙌🏻

We added timber battens along the wall from Bunnings and we painted the top half white and the bottom half in Almond Creme by Taubmans.

We got the timber bench top from Bunnings and sealed it with a matte sealer. We mounted it on some Alex drawers from IKEA and added supports along both of the walls for the desk.

We used some timber curtain rod hooks and a length of dowel from Bunnings for our curtains and added in some styling pieces to complete the space!

So happy with how it turned out!

Firstly, The room transformation looks amazing! I particularly like the two-tone wall paint separated by the wall accent.

I have the exact same IKEA desk drawer in our home office. I feel you used it so well in making it part of your desk. The white with glulam timber panels for desks look aesthetically top notch.

I totally agree with you, it is just such a well-executed themed renovation. It is so relaxing that you might actually forget you're in an office. What's really impressive is that @MyKindofBliss used some simple elements to transform the look and feel of the room.

The almond creme colour relaxes the eye and breaks up that stark white colour on the wall. The Uniform colour of the appliances and the natural finish of the benchtop also contributes to the relaxed feeling in the room. The decorative pieces keep the theme going and it doesn't hurt that you have a large window that lets a lot of light into the room.
