After planning for what felt like years. We finally created our dream pantry. We converted an area that was a laundry and toilet to a beautiful pantry.
Hi @chantelle,
First, let me extend a warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It is wonderful you have decided to join and share your pantry reno with us. You'll find Workshop to be a great place for inspiration and advice for all things DIY and garden. Your tiling job looks fantastic, it may even make it into a Top Ideas article like 7 clever kitchen and laundry splashbacks one day!
It looks like a lot of thought, time, and effort went into this transformation from laundry/toilet to the pantry. What steps did you need to take to complete it? Any advice for someone looking to build a pantry of their own?
Katie
Hi @KatieC
thank you for the warm welcome. The splashback was the design focus as we have the same tiles in the kitchen, just in a smaller profile. For me it was important to have flow and consistency of style.
when designing this space the things I would share is to workout your non negotiables. And work with the space you have to make this happen. The aesthetic‘s of this space were a big focus for me. As I am a minimalist and neat freak. So I needed to create a space that felt calm, yet functional. And that’s where draws came in as the non negotiable. We have also hidden the microwave with a door that lifts up.
That is a very clever idea @chantelle to hide the microwave that way! A minimalist's dream indeed that includes flow and style. Great tips to work with your non-negotiables to create your space. Well done again.
