Any suggestions for replacing this yard fence?

Hey community! What is your best solution to building a fence to replace the temporary fence in the above image? 

We are planning to build one here to be able to keep the dogs on one side of the yard, so they don't disturb the kids when they play.

The plan is to create something similar to the below. Let me know your thoughts and experience..

I'm a big fan of fencing projects and am always keen to try out different looks and configurations. Not that there's anything wrong with a traditional timber fence. I'm just thinking that if you're going to make a fence why not build something that's outside the ordinary? I've drawn up some fence patterns that might interest you, let me know what you think.
