Timber fluting adds a striking element to this Hamptons-style upcycle of a chest of drawers.
The project
I upcycled this dresser with half-round dowels on the top two drawers, all hand-sawn to size, and painted it with British Paints' Refined Stone. I sanded back the top and gave it a walnut stain and varnish.
I added 32mm matte black knobs to complement the curves of the piece. I cut the dowel around the knobs so all were the same length. I glued them on using Clear Liquid Nails.
