Any tips for maintaining my kids' jungle gym?

HI All,

I recently purchased my kids a Kosciuszko outdoor play center for Christmas.

My question is, what should I treat it with in order to get years of fun for the kids? We are in WA, so long, dry, hot summers are the norm. I was thinking of making it multi-colored, but am not sure it is really feasible.

Any suggestions on what products I can use?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about making your kid's jungle gym last longer.

I suggest using exterior paint on all the surfaces of the timber playground. I recommend making up a colour plan so that you can decide how many colours you'll be using. I propose painting all the parts before you start assembling the playground. In this manner, all the parts of the playground will be fully covered in paint. 

The exterior paint can be tinted into many colours, I propose going to your local store and grabbing some colour cards so that you can see which ones you like best.
