I am looking to install a smart lock at my place do I need a professional or can I do it my own.

It all depends if you have the necessary tools and what kind of smart lock you've purchased. Some smart locks are straightforward and require no adjustment in the woodwork of the door. Others require that you drill a larger hole to accommodate the mechanics of the smart lock. Would it be possible for you to post a photo of your door and the proposed smart lock you're planning to put in? This will give our members a chance to assess your door knob fitting. We can then make recommendations on how to proceed.
