Is it enough to support one of the glass of a doubbel glass with a polurethan strip 6x3x50
Hello @Windows
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's a pleasure to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about double-glazed window support.
Are you going to use the polyurethane strip as a filler in the gap in one of the glass panels? Has the original beading deteriorated and you are planning to replace it with that polyurethane strip? Would it be possible for you to post a photo of the double-glazed window so that our members can assess the window's condition? We can then make recommendations on possible solutions.
For aluminium framed glass windows, I recommend looking at Selleys 310g Clear Glass Silicone Sealant. It is a silicone acetic acid that forms a durable, weatherproof seal with excellent adhesion to glass. It’s been designed for use on glass aquariums, as well as sealing windows and window frames, and repairing gaskets in washing machines, fridges, ovens and dryers.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
