How to connect washing machine hose to pipe?

Question

Hi, I am trying to install my washing machine and unfortunately the gap between the wall and tap is too small for the washing machine hose to fit - what kind of extension pipe would fit, to bridge the gap between tap and hose? Ideally would like to not have to return the washing machine and unfortunately don't know too much about this kind of stuff so any help would be much appreciated! Thank you

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @bbysam. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a washing machine.

It's great to see you've already received a helpful reply from @Jewelleryrescue.

It would be a quick and hopefully relatively inexpensive job for a plumber to spin one of those taps, so it faces the other direction. You'd then be able to connect your pipe without the wall impeding it. It would be difficult to attach an elbow to the tap as you won't be able to screw it on due to the clearance between the tap and the wall it's mounted on.

If the hose @Jewelleryrescue mentioned is able to fit on your tap, you could use it as a bridging hose if needed and connect it to your hose with a 20mm nipple.

Unless @EricL  knows of a easy 3/4  washing machine  elbow fitting to allow new hose to attach too. F - M

A,/  You can use the old washing machine hose it must of fit into place. take it off old washer and attach it to the washing machine inlet taking its new hose off first.

B/ Take off new washing machine hose and use  a bunnings one with a elbow in it
