I recently made three chopping boards from Specrite panel, purchased from Bunnings.

I divided the board to make 3 boards, I then made a jig for routing out a juice groove, using a 12mm half round router bit.
I also routered out the ends to be used as handles.
I also rounded the edges and corners.
The boards were sanded using 120 grit and finishing off with 240 grit sandpaper.
I lightly wet the surface of the boards and allowed to dry , this is to allow the grain to rise so I could re sand any rough surface.
Once that was done I coated all over with grapeseed oil, (available from supermarkets), it was left to soak in overnight, I then coated and buffed the surface with a homemade beeswax and coconut oil mixer.
These make great gift ideas.
