can the USB and 240V sockets be controlled separately?

The USBs stay powered all the time and are not controlled by the app. The app allows you to control the flow of power out of the 240v socket at the front. So, in that sense, you do not have full control to turn the USBs off whilst allowing 240v power to flow through.
