A minimalist Scandi-style dog bed made from treated Pine planks.

The project
I built a new bed for our dog. This bed is a kid's bed I scaled down to size.
If you look up Montessori kids' beds, there are plans and a guide. I bought a Kmart mattress and built the frame to fit it.

I used Kreg pocket screws on two types of dressed Pine planks. The bottom pieces are slightly thicker than the frames. I could have built it with slats at the bottom but I left it empty, as the dog mattress just sits under it on the floor.
I'm just a beginner and I learned everything in terms of using the jig on YouTube. You definitely need a Mitre Saw to cut the 45-degree angles. I got a Kreg jig to attach the wood but there are other methods like dowel or just normal wood screws and glue.
Because the bed sits indoors I didn't treat the wood, and left it bare. I guess some Danish Oil wouldn't hurt but I liked the stock colour and texture.
