Lawn verge - from bare earth to lush in 4 years

Lawn now 4 years from bare earth , used kikuyu cuttings from side of road , built up soil with potting soil , gypsum & local council contribution with top dressing to level up . I try to mow once a week all year round with EGO Electric mower , blower & whipper sniper , I cut without using grass catcher then good long deep watering once a week in summer , very happy with the result & get many compliments from the neighbours

Usually fertilise autumn & late spring , good quality products mix with 25 kg bag of gypsum to make spreading more even, lawn specialist say an autumn fertiliser sets up for early spring when soil warms up . See pics original verge was just untouched compact , but with lot of effort with potting soil , gypsum & lots of fertiliser & water ,got good result in the end with good cutting regime
