How to connect 19mm hose to 1/2" water connector?

I have a small water outlet hose that I'd like to connect to a 1/2" water connector that connects to the sink. The hose looks to be about 18.75mm in diameter and 3mm thick. I've tried a standard garden hose connector and the 16 and 20mm SmarteX P 1/ 2" Push Fit Brass Pex Male Connector but none of these fit the hose that was installed.

Thanks for sharing your question about your water connection. Can you please tell me more about this hose, are you able to pinch it between your fingers? Is it just a hose or does the other end have a fitting attached to it? 

Upon closer inspection it looks like the hose of a washing machine. The double wall construction and the polyester fibre threads poking out indicate that this is that type of hose. If it is, I suggest looking at the Kinetic Bent And Straight Nut And Tail Kit. These are designed to fit into this type of hose. Please note that it will take some effort to retrofit these types of kit to an existing hose.

Please do not attempt to fit a SmartX Push Fit Set as it will not fit properly and cause a leak, the SmartX system only works with the compatible hose. I recommend changing the type of hose you are using to a SmartX Pex Pipe for ease of installation.
