How to repair cracked tile in shower room?

My tile in the shower room cracked. Upon removing the cracked pieces, I found that along the whole edge, was unsupported. There is about a 10cm gap from the concrete slab to the drain. I am getting mixed opinions on what to do. Some are saying the whole floor needs to be changed and new waterproofing membrane installed, others are saying that it is an easy repair. 

I am looking to do it properly so that there is no long term damages. Could someone provide me a bit of guidance as to whether this is a repair job or a replacement of the entire shower floor job

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @anny1. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a shower flower.

You've really uncovered an issue there that needs further investigation. It appears that the recess for the channel grate was made too wide, and instead of resolving it, the tiles were glued over it. You can see moisture down in the hole, and I would suspect that there is a good chance that water would be pooling there. I'd recommend you have a qualified waterproofer assess the situation, and then you'll be able to go ahead and speak to a tiler to work out how this problem can be resolved. If the membrane is intact, then this might be as simple as filling the void with concrete to support the edge of the tiles and replacing that one tile.
