Hi. I'm about to start construction on my bathroom, and I'm not so keen on doing tape and sealant.
Was wondering if I could use the Brutus PVC joiners with some adhesive sealant and still keep it waterproof?
Thanks
Hello @Cal5
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about bathroom waterproofing.
It's an intriguing idea, however the tape and sealant method are the ones recognized by inspectors and local councils. It has been tested by the manufacturers in various scenarios and have designed it to provide protection. I'm sorry but changing an element in that waterproofing method is not advised. Before you begin, I suggest checking your local council's rules and regulations regarding waterproofing.
