My little side table

I just made this little side table, from 3mm Plywood Pine Premium and 42X19 DAR Pine and a Merbau panel.
It was a nice little project and it is all just glued together.

I use my table saw for the strips I just glued a block on the end so I could sand them

all together as one piece so that they would be all the same.

I also use the table saw to cut the top and the bottom Merbau panel together so they would match up.

I just used a clamp to bend the ply wood and use a router to finish the top and bottom and add 4 little feet underneath

Thanks for that, it was a fun little project.....
I saw a picture on the net and I also loved the lines like an hour glass, and thought that I can make that, no plan only in my head, I made it up as I went.
I just used PVA wood glue for the 2 main legs and for the straps I just glued in the middle of them, just before they joined each other, and then used the clear varnish as glue as they were very tight and and hard to work out where to put the glue, the clear varnish was good as it soaked into the gapes...

Its been only a week, but the 3ply almost stayed in place with out the glue as it has a tight bend on the top and bottom. Vanish does make a good glue, in other applications.

Thank you very much for sharing your side table project. What an artistic and clever assembly. I can just imagine that it becomes an immediate topic of discussion as soon as the person seeing it realizes that you built it. The wavy bent timber is really eye catching, if I had not seen the assembly method, I would probably still be wondering how you got them to bend so uniformly. What was your source of inspiration for this build?

I glued the main 2 legs in place first, and they were square, then slowly bent the ply...
