How to repair skirting cracked and pulled off wall?

Hello, I had a baby gate attached to keep dogs from going into the garage at times.... people climbing over baby gate knocking multiple times as climbing over has pulled skirting off wall although still very stably attached. I have removed the baby gate to prevent this from getting worse. I would like to repair/ touch this up as best I can. Is there a way I can get glue or something in this very tight space break gap that has been pulled from the wall before I touch up and paint? Best way to repair this? 🙂

I have a similar issue, but it was due to my toddler deciding to wage an all-out war on the barrier. Is it the vertical architrave that has become compromised? If it's just an aesthetical crack, you can fill this with Selleys 480g White 3-in-1 Silicone Sealant. However, it sounds like a few long timber screws through the face of the architrave into the timber frame behind it would shore up the situation. They'll prevent the architrave from pulling further away from the wall or having it pulled off the wall entirely. I recommend you predrill and countersink the holes for the screws into the architrave. Have the screw head finish a few millimetres below the surface of the architrave. Fill over the screw heads with timber filler, and then once dry, sand with 240-grit sandpaper to a smooth surface. You'll then prime the filled area and paint the architrave.

A couple of screws down the bottom of the architrave and a couple 25cm up from there will likely solve the issue.
