How to change toilet to an electric bidet?

Hi,

I am a beginner and would like to replace the toilet bowl seat with an electric bidet. And I realized that I had no way to remove the seat fixture, as the bowl was somehow concealed. Is it easy to remove it? Do I have to remove the tank or the entire bowl? Thanks!

Hi @rekeno,

You might have already done so, but check under the edge of the toilet directly beneath the two fixtures. There might be a nut there that you can undo. If not, take a small flathead screwdriver and lift the circular chrome cap on the fixture. There's a good chance it's a cover plate that will lift off the fixture and expose a large screw. Once the screw is undone, you can remove the mounting fixtures and install the new mounting fixtures supplied with your bidet seat.
