What colour to paint these kitchen cabinets, other than white?

I'm looking to brighten and modernise my small kitchen by painting the wooden cabinets. 

White is an obvious choice but I'm keen to hear ideas and inspiration from the community.

FYI I won't be changing the benchtop, flooring nor splashback, but they're a pretty neutral colour should work with most other colours.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about painting your kitchen.

Your kitchen is already very bright even with the timber veneer finish on the kitchen doors. If you are after a colour that is not overpowering, I suggest looking at lighter hues of solid colour from Dulux such as Vintage Linen or Diffused Grey and Blue Balm. They still have nice colour in them but at a much lower strength.

Then there is the other side of the coin where you can explore full contrast. Because your walls and benchtop are bright you can use dark colours on your doors without turning your kitchen very dark. 

I suggest visiting your stores paint department ang grabbing paint brochures and a handful of colour samples to bring home. You can then past these on your cabinet door and see which one calls out to you.
