Ideas wanted to poolside plants in SA

Newbie-

Hello,

I live in South Australia and would love some ideas on big plants for this garden bed by the pool.

I’ll be taking out the yakkas soon as their root system has been pushing the garden bed a part.

Whatever gets replaced needs to be really hardy in the sun as it gets full, scorching sun during summer.

I note you mention that the Yakkas root system is pushing the garden bed apart. How large is this garden bed, and will it accommodate the big plants you're considering? Let me know if you need a hand uploading an image.

Once we get a sense of the size of this garden bed, I trust our helpful members will have some great suggestions for you.

Thanks for that @Newbie-.

Could you let us know the approximate depth of the raised garden bed from the front edge to the fence? It doesn't look particularly deep from the image, so perhaps small to medium-sized plants would be a better option than large ones.
