Hi,
I am renovating my laundry and I am trying to get a budget-friendly bench top. I am looking at using the Specrite Timber Panel Pine FJ Laminated. I am curious if you can give the bench a glossy look?
Hello @samanthaInnes
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about creating a glossy look on your benchtop.
I suggest having a look at this discussion - Hamptons-style upcycled buffet by @DanaR. This is a beautifully upcycled buffet with a fantastic high gloss top. This was achieved using a sprayer and if this is the type of finish you are after, I suggest having a look at the Ozito 400W Power Paint Spray Gun.
However, a decent gloss finish can still be achieved using a high-quality roller. I recommend using a roller with a nap thickness of 3 to 5. I propose using Cabot's 1L Clear Gloss Benchtop Timber Finish.
