How to fix shower hobb that is too big for shower screen?

We recently had a shower hobb installed and shower screen was going to install but the tiler made it 12 mm to big on one side and he said nothing can be done now until it’s fixed shower installer can’t touch it, we have had 2 doggy tilers first one disappeared was going to install hobb now this one messed it up what do we do any suggestions please this has been going on from October

Ok 12mm too high is out of your expectations I dont believe thats unfixable taking tiles off and correcting levels especially if you gave them specifications up front. or

But i seriously cant belive your shower screen provider cant have a shorter screen alternative to fit your tiling situation thats their bread and butter income, Try new quotes on shower screen! , if current tiling job is at least decent . the 12mm might be needed to drain water towards a floor waste?

We have the shower screen already provided but now this set back even the shower screen guy said hobb can be altered it was done with tiling. He said it’s not his fault the one who put hobb in

Surly a shorter shower screen isnt out of the question? Re your screen provider, If they say No thats the clue to find new ones that say Yes

And cutting into gyprock roof will give you 10 to 12mm slot too as an extreme option,

All solutions need some flexibility too work out towards greater goal.

Can the hobb which was done with cement and tiling can he somehow shave it back to be level

Hi @magdalini any hob can be remade reducing mortar thickness or brick( hob) thickness its only 12mm reduction but this means re shaping tiles too and generally is a pain in the butt to do. Sorry the original hob builder when out of specifications,

Would it be possible for you to post a full photo of the tiled area so that our members can see where the tiler miscalculated and added too many tiles. Once we see the photos, we'll be able to make recommendations on how to proceed.
