Thanks for tagging me Akanksha, sorry for the delayed response. 

I like to set up my table a few times over the holiday period depending on the event I am hosting & how many guests I will have. I use a few simple basics, a few special christmas items and then a christmas inspired menu. 

You can see below some of the table settings I did this year. 

I usually host a platter & lunch for my best friend who comes to my place for the decorating of my tree. (Really just an excuse to have a few cocktails & catch up before the silly season.) This year I did a friendmas event. And then I host Christmas day for the family every year.
