Would like to build a 1 meter high platform to stand on for hedge trimming. Does anyone have a link to a video/instruction to build, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel ?

To build a wooden platform that high and stable would make the whole thing heavy and cumbersome and not really easialy move able.
Could I steer your thoughts towards two modest ladders and a aluminum tresle plank.
this will give you a light wieght movable platform that can do used for roof gutter cleaning and you will have a ladder for other projects all storable after use,
You can even set the trestle waist height and use it as an outdoor work bench.

I'd agree with @Jewelleryrescue that a timber platform would be rather cumbersome. Also, check out this Syneco 3.7m 120kg Multifold Aluminium Ladder as it could provide an all-in-one solution.
