How to repair cracked drain water pipe?

Hi there,

after digging to find out how far our ensuite shower drain comes out, we discovered a crack in the elbow. Can this be fixed by diy or is this a plumbers job? The drain pipe is only buried 300mm and I’m guessing a truck has possibly run over it at some stage damaging the pipe.

Hi @Josh86,

This is considered plumbing work and requires a licensed plumber to complete it. There's a good chance that the angle of the pipe is slightly off the angle of what that fitting is capable of and over time the stress has caused it to fail.
