What is best way to remove rust on door frame next to shower

Typically, rust forms on steel when exposed to moisture, so it sounds like a painted coating might have deteriorated. The typical method of rust removal is through abrasion and sanding. Once the rust has been sanded back, it can be treated with a rust converter. After the rust converter has had time to work, the area can be primed and painted to exclude moisture from the area and improve its appearance. Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
