Does anyone know what these fellas are that I saw on my Black Russian?
Have you noticed any damage to your fruit @RosieW?
They look cute! I hope they are friendly. 🙂
I haven't seen any damage and the plant is at the end of its life anyway. I agree Isobel, they are certainly pretty. Just curious to know what they are.
Foe, and a foreign feral one at that; nymphs of the Green Vegetable Bug, Nezara viridula, see http://www.whatsthatbug.com/category/true-bugs/stink-bugs/page/28/ and http://www.gettyimages.com.au/detail/photo/southern-green-stink-bug-or-green-vegetable-high-res-stock-photography/153345191

Friend, without a doubt.
For, green vegetable bug. It's the same family as the stink bug. They suck the life out of yr vege's and chew everything. They will spread and breed very quickly
