How to fix garage door bracket?

Hi

My manual garage door latch has snapped off on the right and partially off the left side. I need to securely reattach so I can lock/unlock it. As per the images, a certain type of screw is used to fasten them in place. Need advice on what to use?

Those fixings you are looking at are called blind rivets. If you use a drill bit one size smaller than the blind rivets attached, you'll be able to remove the old rivets and replace them with new ones.

I propose using a Craftright Rivet Gun Set it comes with multiple head sizes and several packets of blind rivets. Make sure to test the size of the rivet before you attach them permanently.
