what ferns or plants are good for hanging baskets outside mid sunny area can get warm 2 or 3 plants per basket a few ideas please

I have lost too many plants to the weather in baskets. Now I am OCD with what ever I put in the baskets . Now I stick to what I know. I use the following:Petunias lobelia spider plant Fuchsia and have tried Calibrachoa and a healthy mix of artificial flowers from bunnings. This has to be very carefully arranged. People who walk past have no idea they are not real, and it saves me a fortune.
