Someone ripped off the back of our brick letterbox. Should I use silicone or glue

It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a letterbox.Would it be possible for you to upload some images so our members can better understand the repair you need to make? Let me know if you need a hand posting images.
It sounds like the frame section of the rear door has been separated from the bricks. If so, I suggest using Selleys 350g Liquid Nails Heavy Duty or Sika 290ml Sikaflex®-118 Extreme Grab Construction Adhesive.
Were any fixings involved in the attached, or was it only glued on?Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
no fixings that i can see, just glued on, will liquid nails secure the frame on the bricks?
