How to fill fence gap and secure weedmat?

Hi,

i would like to get an idea on how to secure the weedmat on the fence gap so it doesnt look like the neighbours ones where the blue metals are falling out of the weed mat. 

my idea so far is to fold the weedmat like a U shape. Peg it down against the fence using 400mm plinth peg gal steel with 25mm hook width (i dont want to drill anything to the fence), cable tie/plant tie the weed mat to the peg to secure. The concrete side/the ground i will use weedmat pins to pin it down to the ground. then blue metal rocks on top. 

Any better ideas please share with me, i would love to hear it.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about filling in a fence gap.

I suggest thinking about using a 100 x 16mm 4.8m Edging H4 Treated Pine Sawn Wet to cover the gap. The weed mat can be stapled to the garden edging placed standing up. The "U" shape of the weedmat must still be kept. 

Once you start filling the channel with blue metal the weight of the stones will actually keep the garden edging standing up. There will be no need to permanently fix the garden edging to the Colorbond fence.
