My shower tap is leaking but I can’t take the mixer handle off to get to the cartridge. I tried wd40.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Nik3. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing a mixer handle.Typically there will be a grub screw that needs to be undone with an allen key to release the handle, which then pulls straight off. The grub screw would normally be hidden, and with your handle, I'd be looking under the red cap. Flick it off with a small flat-bladed screwdriver. Please let me know how you go and if you have any questions.Mitchell
Thank you Mitchell,
I took the red cap off but can’t get the screw off. I think I may have damaged the top of it.
Sorry to hear that @Nik3.
If the head of the grubscrew is now stripped out, you'd likely need to drill it out, which will destroy the fixing mechanism. You might want to consider consulting with a plumber and potentially replacing the mixer.

Thank you Mitchell. If I was to have the mixer replaced, do I need to have the tile removed?
They'll likely need to remove the tile @Nik3 to access the plumbing work.
Thank you Mitchell.
