How to connect washing machine water inlet hose?

Hi there!

we just bought new Bosch washing machine. Now when we try to install the water inlet hose it is not closing properly. I have tried the hose with garden tap and it just worked like a charm but not with the laundry tap. I am not sure what is the issue?  The size of the tap may be is the problem? If so how to figure out that? The tap is facing upwards; can it be the reason?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your washing machine hose.

I suspect that it is the position of the tap that is giving you a hard time in screwing the hose to the outlet. I suggest lifting the hose up and lining it up as straight as possible before you screw it to the tap. It will take a fair amount of effort, but you should be able to attach it securely.
