How to repaint a door to hide marker pen?

Hey my kid use Paramount mark pen on this door  do I need to put anything before painting or painting will hide this 

permit mark pen ?

Thanks for sharing your question about removing the marker on your door. I propose using De-Solv-it 125ml Sticky Spot and Stain Remover. It is a citrus based cleaner and is effective on stains and adhesives. I suggest testing a small section with a paper towel and if it proves to be effective you can then use it on the rest of the marker. 

However, if you are planning on painting the entire door, I suggest using a 240grit sandpaper to remove the marker on the door.
