Raised garden deck using recycled materials

Eco deck

We had an undeveloped area under a lovely shady area and decided to build a raised deck to relax on during the long hot summer days in Perth.

Materials

Recycled Eco deck, recycled jarra wood beams, aluminium pannels from Bunnings, 12 v lighting, hidden deck clips 

Tools

Ryobi drill, hammer, 235mm Bosch drop saw, level string line 

Steps

Step 1

1 set out string lines

Step 2

Dig and concrete in posts

Step 3

Bolt on bearers and joists.

Step 4

Lay eco decking 

Step 5

Hang and frame aluminium pannels 

Step 6

Recess 12 v lighting into the deck
