This was a box made of recycled timber. Using contrasting wood gives it unique look. This box is finished with Tung Oil giving it a warm and smooth touch.

how did you cut the dovetails? clean cuts
Dovetails were cut using the gifkin jig, a long time ago i used to handcut them.
I use to own one of those as well, too much hard work setting them up I now have a leigh D4R hoping to use this weekend don’t have a lot of time to hand cut
Nice the Leigh is a great jig you can set out where you want the tails and pins unlike these other jigs.
