How to service outdoor blinds?

I have 5 screens on the deck. Two of them open with a handle and turning mechanism. Three of them have to be pushed up and down. They are all stiff and hard to move. I have applied a lubricant (silicone) WD-40 300g Specialist High Performance Silicone - Bunnings Australia

Is there a spring in these that can be tightened? Or, how do I get them to move up and down smoothly.

I need one more handle where can I get them?

Thanks for sharing your question about your deck screens. I propose using WD-40 300g Specialist High Performance White Lithium Grease instead of WD40 Silicone. I suggest rolling out your screen to full open and then spraying the mechanism of the screens. Make sure to use the straw so that you can insert it inside the rollers and gear box.

It might take several applications in order for the grease to spread inside the mechanism.

Thanks @EricL . Just saw the product online. Seems like it doesn't come with a straw.

Also, the part where the screen fabric edge slides through the guides, what lubricant can I put there? Or, just clean and leave it dry?

Hi @Pcan

My apologies if the WD40 does not come with a straw, you might need to spray closer in this instance. As for the fabric edge you could try the Selleys 150g Ezy Glide Dry Lubricant Aerosol. Please test a little corner to make sure that it does not harm or discolour the screen fabric edge.
