There was a 1cm gap between the spa cedar deck and the Kwila deck that runs parallel to the cedar deck. The gap came about because i preferred to keep the full lengths of Kwila at the front(so it looks good) and have the odd gap at the back. The challenge was to close this gap. Cutting a piece of kwila and then trying to ram it into the space was not an option. Using aluminium to close the gap was the best option.
