Dresser stripped and upcycled

It is always interesting to see what is hiding under tick paint. 

Materials

Paint stripper, sandpaper, wood glue chalk paint, varnish and wall paper

Tools

Drill and sander

Steps

Step 1

First we had to remove all the handles. Than the big job started to get the thick layers of paint off. I used paint stripper. 

Step 2

After stripping the paint I found the legs and cupboard was made of 2 different wood types. I have it a good sand and decided to paint parts of the dresser.

Step 3

 The sides of the dresser was a bit damaged and decided to stick wallpaper to both sides

Step 4

 i added some decorative moulds on the doors and paint and varnished all. 

Step 5

Cleaned The inside and painted.

Thank you for sharing your vanity table upcycling project.

It is a wonderful example of turning a dated piece of furniture into a beautiful new piece thus saving it from landfill.

A good amount of sanding, some paint, and a few unique touches have done wonders, and this vanity table will look beautiful for years to come.
