How to fix loose kitchen tap?

Hello, 

Can anyone advise on how to go about tackling this loose kitchen faucet, which appears to have come away from its base due to a loose screw. I attach a picture of the under sink and above sink sides.

Model is a Heston Kitchen Mixer BL2404.

All the advice online is about tightening the nut but the problem here appears to be a loose screw and I see no way of accessing this screw to tighten it.

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you join us.

Unfortunately, as I've been unable to locate an installation manual for this particular tap, I'm taking an educated guess to the likely fix. If this method does not work, please don't hesitate to reach out so I can troubleshoot further.

You should start by turning off the water supply to ensure there is no water damage in the process.

I suspect you'll need to unscrew the two screws that can be seen in your first photo underneath the sink to allow the attachment plate at the bottom of the tap to be removed. This will likely allow you to lift the flange plate at the bottom of the tap giving you access to its underside. This should allow you access to the small grub screw that you can see in the second image.

Now you have access to this screw, line up the tap body with the grub screw and tighten it.

Once tightened, you can put the tap back in place and fix it back together with the screws on the underside of the sink.
