What blade for Ozito Mitre Saw?

I will be installing skirting soon and was planning on purchasing the Ozito 254 Sliding Compound Saw and the Mitre Saw Table. I am aware that this comes with a 40T blade, but for MDF moulding was informed I should use a 60T or preferably a 80T blade.

In the manual it state that you need to make sure that the blade is not too big, has the right bore hole and also is suitable for the speed.

Kerf: 3.0mm (assuming this is the thickness)

Is it going to be easy or difficult to find extra blades that will fit?

Has anyone found a 60T or 80T blade that fits and works on this machine?

Diablo blades are fantastic, too, @Matkai. The Diablo 254mm 60T Mitre Saw Blade and especially the Diablo 254mm 90T Ultimate Flawless Finish Circular Saw Blade are amazing. They will both run on your saw and include the reducing bush to suit your 25.4mm bore size. I've run the 60T in the past on an Ozito and loved it. I'm pretty sure the blade cost me more than the saw, but boy, was it worth it. It's so nice to do a finishing cut and not have to sand the edge afterwards.

Hi Mitchell, on this topic, I have an ozito drop saw, and recently purchased a new blade for it (with included bushing to adapt the bore size), however the way the ozito blade clamp is designed, it allows the bushing to move slightly inside, meaning the blade has a high chance of becoming off centre. Any suggestions here?

Is there any chance you might be able to upload some images or provide more information on how the bushing can move? Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.

If the bushing is the correct size bore size for the saw and it's the same thickness as the blade and locks into it, I'm not entirely sure how it would be able to move around.

I have a similar question. I have the PXC 210mm mitre saw. I bought a 60t Irwin blade, but the bore is a tiny bit smaller. When I went to use it the entire blade and safety cover shook wildly. There doesn’t seem to be many options in the 210mm size.

The Ozito PXC 210mm mitre saw blade has a 30mm bore size, while the IRWIN 210mm 60T Marathon Circular Saw Blade has a 25mm bore size. The bore size must be the same to safely use an aftermarket blade. I suggest you go for the DeWALT 210mm 60T Extreme Runtime Circular Saw Blade DT99567-QZ, which comes with a 30mm bore.

Hello, I need to replace the blade on my Ozito 254mm mitre saw.

will the Irwin 254mm marathon 40T fit? I think it will but struggling to find specs of the blade width?

what are the measurements 1”/25mm/16mm on the box refer to? See attached.

Yes, the IRWIN 254mm 40T Marathon Circular Saw Blade will fit your Ozito 254mm mitre saw. The measurement that matters most is the diameter, which matches at 254mm.

The 30mm measurement refers to the arbour, which is the size of the hole through the middle of the blade.

The 1”/25mm/16mm markings on the box refer to included reducer rings that allow the blade to fit different arbour sizes, meaning it can be adjusted to fit saws with 25mm or 16mm arbours if needed.

As for the blade width, it isn't explicitly listed on the packaging, but it's typically within standard kerf sizes for a general-purpose blade, which is between 2 and 4mm.

I am confident this blade will work with your saw, but it would still be worthwhile to confirm in the manual based on the information I have provided.
