Thanks for sharing your question about removing paint on your brick wall. I suggest having a quick look at this discussion - How to remove paint from bricks? by @nagumuthu. It is rather tricky to remove paint as bricks are porous and the paint tends to travel into the brick itself. In the discussion I suggested using Trojan 5x15 Row Stainless Steel Wire Brush to carefully clean off the paint.
Due to the bricks porous surface, some spots will be difficult if not impossible to clean. You can also try washing it with detergent and water in combination with a Sabco Handled Scrub Brush. Using chemicals or strippers has its own set of dangers as they will stain and ruin the surface of the brick.
