got a 60's era window frame in galvanised steel
windows have this type of winder
windows have this type of clasp
How do i make this more secure, and doesnt need keys ideally?
How do i make this more lockable from the Inside ?
Hi @high_st,
The winder on its own would be considered a locking mechanism, as the window can not be opened from the outside without the winder being operated. Any additional clasp/latch would likely operate as a locking mechanism, too. Are you looking to remove the winder and clasp/latch and replace them with a lock? Any lock without a key would essentially be a latch. We have the Delf Satin Chrome Keyed Window Sash Lock that could possibly work, but it does utilise a key, as most of our window locks do.
If you could post a close-up picture of the latch and tell our helpful members a little more about what you'd like to achieve, I trust they'll be able to offer some informed suggestions.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
