How to cut MDF cabinet doors?

Hi, I am looking to replace my cabinets with just a face lift . Does anyone know how I can cut MDF 18mm into cabinet doors . I want to get new mdf doors instead of using my old ones . How would I go about cutting it to ensure that it is perfect . What tool would I use . Thanks

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kayoparata. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about constructing cabinet doors.

You can certainly cut 18mm MDF. To get cuts that are perfect you'd need to invest in a plunge track saw. It has the accuracy to provide the crisp cuts and edges required for cabinetry. You could use a standard circular saw, but you would need to set up a guide rail and ensure it is perfectly straight. It's far harder to get perfect cuts with a circular saw versus a track saw.
