Louvered pergola over Kwila deck

In my last post i had shared a project  - building a Kwila Deck. We decided to install a 4x3 m Louvered Pergola over the Kwila Deck to enjoy this outdoor space.

Materials

Aluminium Louvered Pergola - bought in kit set and requires assembly.

Tools

Bosch Cordless Drill and Bosch Driver

Steps

Step 1

When I built the deck i installed solid timber under the kwila so that each of the 4 posts for the pergola had a solid footing. 

Step 2

Erected for posts and joining beams. Ensured that posts were square.

Step 3

Installed centre and side beams.

Step 4

Secured posts to deck and specific points where the fortified deck beams were. Posts are screwed into these beams to form a solid footing. 

Step 5

Installed louvers on roof. 

Step 6

Sealed all joints for extra protection from the elements with weather tight silicone sealant.
