Can i shorten a Mimosa Louvred Gazebo?

Hi,

I was looking at the Mimosa 3m by 3m louvred gazebo. The space I need to cover is 2.8m wide by approx 2m deep (I could possibly get away with the 3m width).

Has anyone tried/is it possible to shorten this structure? I’m imagine I could not install a few louvres - but is it possible to shorten the beams and still have it function correctly?

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it's fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, due to the engineering plans required for the semi-permanent gazebos such as the Mimosa 3 x 3m Lava Portsea Louvre Semi Permanent Gazebo, it is not possible to alter the width of them for your purposes.

I've had a look and unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a great premade gazebo for the size you are after. There is the Backyard Discovery 2.4 x 1.6 x 2.2m Saxony BBQ Gazebo With PowerPort which will fit in the area, but not fill it out perfectly.
 

If you were looking to completely fill the area, you might like to look into constructing a custom timber gazebo such as this Gazebo and fire pit outdoor dining area that @nathanh created.
